LED’s have been labeled as the lightsource of the future for many years. But the future is already here. The future is now. However, just as many other disruptive technologies before, LEDs have so far been used to mimic traditional lighting concepts. This lead to immense advancements in efficiency and lifetime, which is great. But now is the time for the next step: To redefine how we use LEDs to create completely new lighting scenarios.

Conventional LED solutions generally consist of 5 or more components: The LED itself, a printed circuit board, a heatsink, a housing, and a driver. This leads to form factors and sizes that are very similar to traditional lighting elements, despite a superior size/brightness ratio of LEDs.
LED iBond’s patented technology enables products that are: smaller; more adaptable and more economical.
We take a widely used, readily available material (so called Aluminium Composite plates - ACPs), and use its unique properties to integrate LEDs into an ultra slim, ultra efficient package. An ACP consists of two thin layers of aluminium, bonded by a PE core - leading to an overall thickness of 6mm. Since Aluminium is both a good conductor of electricity and thermal energy, no additional wiring is required, and no additional heatsinks are required. ACPs are also very economical in production, giving us the opportunity to build new luminaire concepts faster than anyone else - since we are not bound to conventional printed circuit boards. This means we can build small series luminaires that are customised for special projects quickly and efficiently.
